Dr. Castillo is the co-owner of Castillo Psychological and a Licensed Psychologist. Dr. Castillo obtained her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from New Mexico State University in 2007. She is a member of New Mexico Psychological Association as well as Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers. She began her career as a Psychologist working as a Forensic Psychologist for the State of New Mexico where she conducted Forensic Evaluations. Upon returning to Las Cruces, NM in 2008, she has worked in a private practice setting where she completes Psychological Evaluations, Forensics Evaluations, and Risk Assessments. In addition, she provides individual and family therapy services as well for children, adolescents and adults. Dr. Castillo's multicultural focused training also impacts her interventions with clients and diagnostic interpretations. She has worked in collaboration with many different agencies and organizations in the community and throughout the state.

Joe Castillo's career in social service began when he graduated from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. Working with post adjudicated at risk youth he sought a more preventative approach to work with people in need. Since his graduation from New Mexico State University in 2005 with a Master's degree in social work, Mr Castillo has sought to provide services to the under served and underrepresented in the community. Mr. Castillo's career has allowed to provide services to individuals of all ages and cultures. He has provided clinical service utilizing several different therapeutic modalities to address a wide range of diagnoses. He is also recognized as a Clinically Certified Sex Offender Treatment Specialist by the National Association of Forensic Counselors.

Brooks Strawn is a Washington state native, earning her degrees in Psychology and Law, Societies, and Justice from the University of Washington. Brooks has worked within the Washington Corrections Center for Women and assisted with research on how to improve incarceration. After her studies in Washington, she relocated to South Africa and was an English instructor with the Peace Corps. More recently Brooks graduated from New Mexico State University with her master’s in social work. While completing her master’s degree, Brooks worked with the Federal Public Defender Office and Protective Services with the Children, Youth, and Families Department. Brooks enjoys working with individuals formerly involved in the judicial system and individuals from all backgrounds. In addition to her professional endeavors, Andrea is a dedicated mother of three and a military spouse. Stationed overseas in Italy for over three years, Andrea has a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by military families and is committed to providing specialized care and support to service members, veterans, and their loved ones. Andrea completed her master’s degree through Liberty University and hopes to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Her focus is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy, utilizing skills such as mindfulness, cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and emotional reasoning. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, exploring new places, and practicing self-care activities.
